Right click tf2 properties launch options type mat phong 0 in the launch options dammit i put the high nojoy noipx dxlevel 81 in for reduce lag and now i cant put that in cause if i delete it mah potato laptop will lag as heck dont worry u dont have to delete u can click all the way to the end and type mat phong 0 ez.

Honestly unless you re playing on an office computer from 2003 it won t make that much of a performance difference.
Just use r rimlight 0 setting mat phong to 0 will screw up how certain items like australiums and the spycicle look.
There is a fix for the problem in gamebanana but it has not been updated since 2016.
Mat phong is a convar all you need to do is put mat phong 0 in your fps config you can put it directly in the console for comparison though it takes a while to remove all phongs from the map.
It is fantastic but some of the items have bugged lighting or something like this.
